Winters story
Its absolutely beautiful in West by God Virginia right now. The leaves are starting to turn and the temps are still very warm. As Serena and I sat on the porch staring at the mountains the other night, she said something very postmodern, that i though id pass on. There was a cool breeze and she asked, "is winter coming Dad?" i said, "pretty soon" and she responded; "i guess its time for winter to tell it's story". Im not sure if she read something like that or heard it, but Betsy and I were not familiar with it. Maybe that is how she sees it. That each season, each day, month, year, or person has a story to tell. The postmodern peek at theology sees the Kingdom of God as just that; a real life story. Its Gods story, and we have a page in it. Its time right now to tell our story. So.... whats your story? How is your life being read? When others read or hear about your story when you are dead and gone, how will they describe it? A tragedy, love story, mystery, Horror, feel good, suspense? Just like any good movie, i dont want mine to be slow and have too much diologue. I like deep, meaningul scripts, but some great suspense and action always floats my boat. Are you telling a story? Im looking forward to the holidays and winters story. Come and visit and sit on the porch with me and Serena as we watch, listen and live Gods story.
